Monday...

Here it is Monday, heading to work, but the morning is beautiful, I REALLY just want to play today in my studio. :-( I guess I am going to have to accept the Monday blues...

I had a lot of fun working on my OOAK doll on the weekend, got a lot done! I may post a sneak peek of her head soon. She has sandy blonde hair, very curly, greenish eyes, 21" tall, sculpted head, hands and shoes, the rest of her is cloth. She is shaping up to be real cute!

I am also working on finishing up an baby angel, she was poured with a air-dry liquid into a ceramic mold. She is then left to dry, cleaned up and now I am painting her. This is something I do very rarely anymore, my favorite dolls to make really are OOAK clay dolls and cloth.

Don't you just want to hug this fluffy sheep "I think that's what it is?" CUTE anyway!

So charming....

So I was driving on some back roads with a friend and we came upon an old empty farm house, it was such a picture! What a charming old country home, like in a storybook, it had a front porch, many angles and windows, big tress that have seen many a day, old farm equipment, wagon wheels, really just a picture. If this home could talk, what would it say? what stories could it tell? oh how I wish I knew!  By the front by the porch were these beautiful imperial Lilies, they drew me in like a magnet. I had to stop and take some pictures, I took many but this close up I think is lovely, I thought I would share it here...

Three Things...

Well first bit of news is that I was recently accepted on the Pfatt Marketplace website! I will be showcasing my things on both Prim Nest and Pfatt. I am excited to have two wonderful outlets to sell my artwork. Pfatt offerings will be added once monthly on the 10th. Do you think I will be busy?

My newest project is taking shape. I have started a one-of-a-kind doll, her head is almost done being sculpted, just have one more ear to go! I do think she is telling me she wants to be a pretty little bed doll. These sculpts end up with thier own personalities and can have minds of thier own! She will be one of my featured items on Pfattmarketplace.com June 10th.

Third...... I am one week into trying to not snack, eating healthier, attempting to slim down, it is going okay for the most part, BUT refraining from grabbing those yummies is almost all I can do at times.... Right about now I would give anything for a high functioning metabolism.

Happy Sunday all.....

Sneak Peek!

Here is another sneak peek of my current project, head only for now. Isn't she sweet? She just needs arms, clothes, socks and shoes and she'll be done unless I decide to add a prop with her. She will be for sale on Prim Nest.

For all of  you who don't scrapbook or do cards, but wonder what they could do with vellum, I have the answer! Use that vellum to place your dollhair on, then sew with your machine right on top. Clip threads and pull the vellum off the stitching and you have anchored hair to now handstitch or glue to your dolly's head. This is great for making a nice part down the middle OR just sewing sections then placing. Happy dollmaking!!!
